History
Our company history began in 1930 in Wuppertal-Cronenberg – and is still characterised by innovation and quality craftsmanship today.
Foundation
Robert Friedrichs GmbH was founded in 1930 by Robert Friedrichs in Wuppertal-Cronenberg – a traditional centre of the German tool and screw industry. From the very beginning, the company specialised in the manufacture of clamping screws and clamping tools based on its own design, making it one of the pioneers in this sector in Germany.Second generation
In the 1950s, Alfred Gebauer, the founder’s son-in-law, joined the company and took over the management of the second generation in 1968. The company moved into new business and production premises at Schulweg 24 in 1965. In the years that followed, the site was continuously expanded, the product range was extended and international sales were strengthened.
Third generation
The children of Alfred Gebauer, Wolfgang Gebauer and Angelika Svejkovsky, joined the company in the 1980s.
Certification
A quality management system was introduced back in 1999 and the company was certified to ISO 9001.
Fourth generation
Daniel Svejkovsky, the great-grandson of the company founder, has been managing the company in the fourth generation since 2018.

Today, Robert Friedrichs GmbH offers a wide range of mechanical clamping elements, fastening elements, washers, nuts and standard parts. In addition to series production, the company specialises in small quantities and custom-made products according to drawings or samples.

Robert Friedrichs GmbH has been ISO 9001 certified since 1999 and stands for the highest quality standards in the manufacture of clamping and fastening elements.
Functionality, durability and precise workmanship are the key features of our products – and have been since the company was founded in 1930. Over the decades, we have consistently developed our control and quality management system and adapted it to current requirements.
Today, our range comprises 4 product groups with numerous articles. Each product is subjected to careful quality control to ensure maximum reliability and consistently high product quality.
We attach particular importance to the selection of high-quality materials, custom-fit production and individual solutions – from standard parts to customised individual production.
